Building in existing facilities: Residential homes, child day-care centres, office buildings – an increasing number of building are having their roofs raised in order to create new living space or commercial area. Existing buildings oftentimes have only a limited amount of reserve structural framing. Its reduced weight along with its physical building properties and ecological advantages all make the case for wood-panelled construction.
Advantageous space gains in congested urban areas: Because empty properties and vacant lots are only sporadically available in the inner city, buildings are often raised by one level or up to a multi-storey structure.
